Why You Can't Walk Alone
Galatians 1:18–23 | Acts 9:27–31
There’s something humbling about needing help — but real faith doesn’t grow without it. We weren’t made to walk this journey alone.
When Paul first tried to join the early Christians, they were scared to death of him. Can you blame them? One minute he’s breathing out threats against the church, and the next he says, “Hey, I’m with you now!” I probably would have kept my distance too.
But there was one man — Barnabas — who saw what others couldn’t see yet. He believed Paul’s story. He believed in God's work in him. Because of Barnabas, Paul found a place in the family of faith.
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for the Barnabases God sent into my life — people who believed in me when I was still figuring things out. People who saw Jesus in me before I could fully see Him in myself.
We all need somebody willing to stand in our corner and say, “I see God in you — and I'm not going anywhere.”
Some things to think about:
Practicing Faith (this week):
Reach out to someone who encouraged your faith and thank them. Then pray about who you could encourage — even just with a simple text, call, or prayer.
Memory Verse Challenge:
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me." — John 14:1
A Prayer You Can Pray:
Father, thank You for the people who have believed in the work You’re doing in me. Help me to be a Barnabas to someone else — to see them through Your eyes and stand with them on this journey.
