Faith in Real Life Series: More Faith Stories
Now and Later
We want God’s promises now.
But faith often lives in the tension of now… and later.
Scripture
“All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised…”
— Hebrews 11:13
That’s a hard truth.
Some promises weren’t fulfilled in their lifetime.
And yet—they still believed.
Even more—they were thankful before they saw fulfillment.
That’s a different kind of faith.
Not faith based on outcomes…
but faith rooted in trust.
This world was never meant to carry the full weight of God’s promises.
Some things are coming later.
So the question becomes—
Can you trust God, even when the timeline doesn’t match yours?
Reflect
Pray
God, help me trust Your timing, not just Your promises.
Teach me to live with faith that looks beyond today.
Memory Verse
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
