Start Packing the U-Haul (Part 1)
Moving is stressful—even when you have a plan.
You line things up. You secure the next place. You make sure something is waiting for you on the other side.
Abraham didn’t get that.
God told him to go… but didn’t tell him where.
Scripture
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” — Hebrews 11:8
Abraham’s obedience wasn’t built on details—it was built on trust.
No map.
No timeline.
No clear picture.
Just a promise.
And he went.
We often say we want God’s will—but what we really want is clarity before we commit to action.
But faith doesn’t always work that way.
Sometimes obedience comes first.
So where does this press in on your life?
Is there something you sense God is asking—but you’ve been waiting for more clarity?
That hesitation is human. But faith invites you to trust God’s voice more than your need to understand.
Even Jesus prayed, “Not my will, but Yours be done” (Matthew 26:39).
Reflect
Where do you feel God prompting you—but you’ve been holding back?
Pray
God, teach me to trust You more than my need for clarity.
Give me courage to take the next step, even when I don’t see the full path.
Memory Verse
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” — Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
