Noah’s Faith, Part 1: When Obedience Sounds Crazy

Imagine hearing from God that a flood is coming… and your job is to build a massive boat — on dry land — while everyone watches and laughs.

That’s where Noah found himself. And what did he do?
He obeyed.

Hebrews tells us Noah was “warned about things not yet seen,” and he took God seriously. His obedience wasn’t flashy. It wasn’t convenient. But it was faith in action.

Sometimes, faith means doing what God says before it makes sense. It means listening to His voice when others think you’re overreacting or losing it. It means trusting that what God sees is more important than what we see.

Scripture Reading:
Hebrews 11:7 (NIV)

7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

Reflect:

  • Is God asking you to obey Him in something that doesn’t fully make sense right now?
  • What small step of obedience could you take today, even if no one else understands?

Pray:
God, give me the courage to obey You even when it’s uncomfortable. Help me trust Your voice more than the noise around me.

Memory Verse:
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1
